Have your say on the new Tallgrass Park

September 9, 2021

News Release

The Tower Ranch development is getting its first neighbourhood park in 2022. Tallgrass Park is proposed to include a playground, small entry plaza, terracing, site furnishings, pedestrian pathways, landscaping and irrigation.

Before construction begins in Spring 2022, the City wants to hear from residents. Visit getinvolved.kelowna.ca to check out the proposed design and leave comments through the posted survey, which will be open from Tuesday, Sept. 7 until Sunday, Sept. 19.  Participants who register can leave questions for City staff involved in the project as well as receive updates on the project.

“The location of Tallgrass Park is currently an undeveloped parcel of land in the Tower Ranch neighbourhood,” said Amy Nyhof, Landscape Design technician. “We are excited to bring this new amenity to the neighbourhood and look forward to hearing what they want.”

Public engagement feedback will be reviewed in relation to design best practices and existing policy on park amenities in order to develop a final design prior to construction. This will be released publicly before moving to construction.
