Rutland Sports Field Optimization

Proposed as a priority within the 10-year Capital Plan, the optimization of future sports fields will take place at the site of Rutland Recreation Park, the home of the Rutland Activity Centre, Rutland Arena and the Rutland Family Y. The optimization of the sports field in Rutland includes the addition of a new artificial turf field with lighting.  This set up greatly enhances the seasonal capacity of sports fields, an amenity in high demand across Kelowna, allowing nearly 3x more playing time annually over grass fields.
