Countdown is on: final week to shape the draft 2040 Transportation Master Plan
After a multi-year engagement process, there is one week left to provide feedback on the City’s draft 2040 Transportation Master Plan (TMP).
Kelowna’s draft 2040 TMP sets the direction for a vibrant city where people and places are conveniently connected by diverse transportation options. The plan has set targets for 2040 that include doubling transit ridership, quadrupling the number of trips made by bicycle, and reducing the average distance each person drives by 20 per cent. These targets are ambitious, yet achievable with the actions proposed in the plan.
Visit getinvolved.kelowna.ca/tmp to learn more about the TMP and complete a short questionnaire by Oct. 20. By doing so, you can enter to win a $100 gift card. There is also still time to register for the Oct. 19 TMP focus group where you can learn more about the plan’s key directions and engage in discussion with staff and other participants. Registration is open via Get Involved.
Public feedback will help refine and finalize the plan which is anticipated to be completed and presented to Council for endorsement later this year.
