Combat shorter days and cooler weather by adding new activities to your routine! Whether practicing self-care, learning a new skill or trying a new class, this season’s recreation programs are sure to add excitement to your schedule all winter-long. Join a sports league, learn a new language, enjoy a dance or fitness class or sign-up your young ones for an after-school activity. This season’s activities include hundreds of exciting ways for residents of all ages and abilities to get active! Find your fit at kelowna.ca/recreation.
“Now is the perfect time to craft a schedule you will look forward to all winter-long,” says Tom Clark, Recreation Program Supervisor. “Whether you want to get fit, explore a new hobby, or connect with your community, we have something for all ages and abilities.”
Winter registration dates and times:
- General programs: December 3 at 7 a.m.
- Adult sports & leagues: December 4 at 7 a.m.
- Aquatic & first aid programs: December 5 at 7 a.m.
- Adaptive programs: December 6 at 10 a.m.
Register online, by phone (250-469-8800) or in person at Parkinson Recreation Centre (1800 Parkinson Way). Create an online account by selecting the “New Customer” button at rec.kelowna.ca. Once created, you can add family members to your account through the “My Groups/Family” feature. Looking for more ways to be active this winter? For first time members, try out the PRC facility promo pass, only $30.85 for the first month! Membership includes access to the fitness centre, aquatics centre, gymnasium, and various drop-in fitness classes.
