Summer is the Okanagan’s time to shine, and we’ve planned a season packed with tons of exciting free events for all ages and abilities! Many of these events have become Kelowna staples over the years, and we hope you’ll join us for some fun in the sun this season.

  1. Customer Appreciation Day
    June 13  |  7 a.m. – 7 p.m.  |  Parkinson Recreation Centre

    Join us for indoor and outdoor celebrations at Parkinson Recreation Centre with free access to the pool and fitness centre all day long! You'll also enjoy face painting, snow cones, healthy snacks, games, prizes and more. Plus, learn more about City initiatives and upcoming events.
  2. Dancing in the Park
    Wednesday nights from July 9-August 27  |  6:30 – 7:45 p.m.  |  Stuart Park

    Dance along with a qualified instructor at Stuart Park - try a different style of dance every week. No advance registration is required. Just show up! All ages, abilities and experiences are welcome. You’ll be working up a sweat, so be sure to bring a water bottle.
  3. Sunset Yoga
    Wednesday nights from July 9-August 27  |  8 – 9 p.m.  |  Stuart Park
    Enjoy the sunset with a yoga practice taught by a qualified instructor at Stuart Park. All ages, abilities and experiences are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat. This event follows Dancing in the Park, which runs from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Join us for both events or just one. No advance registration is required.
  4. Roller Nights
    Tuesday nights from July 8-August 26  |  7:30 – 9:30 p.m.  |  Stuart Park

    Come roll with us at Stuart Park! Bring your inline or roller skates (plus your helmet) for an evening of skating and music with friends. No advance registration is required. All ages, abilities and experiences are welcome. No skates? No problem! Skate rentals are available on-site.
  5. Park & Play
    Weeknights throughout July & August  |  5 – 8 p.m.  |  Various parks

    Discover outdoor fun at Park & Play, a free event for all ages! Join us in various parks across the city to enjoy recreational activities like ladderball, inflatables, giant board games, and more. Bring your family, friends, and neighbours for an evening of fun. Plus, Festivals Kelowna’s ParksAlive! program will even be on-site seven different times this summer with musical entertainment! Find the schedule online.
  6. Meet me on Bernard
    May 16 – September 14  |  all day  |  200 & 300 blocks of Bernard Avenue

    Meet Me on Bernard is a vibrant outdoor pedestrian zone in downtown Kelowna. Find your groove with live music, connect with friends on a sun-drenched patio, shop at exciting retailers or just stroll through and soak up the good vibes. Plus, there’s lots of free weekly events and markets happening to enjoy all season. See the events calendar at downtownkelowna.com.
  7. Kelowna Made
    August 15-17  |  Various times  | City Park
    Kelowna Made is a celebration that offers inclusive fun for everyone. Join thousands of people of all ages for a day of fun, family-friendly activities at Kelowna Made. Smile, laugh, try some new things and make some great memories with friends, both old and new. There are so many ways to get involved and have fun at Kelowna Made. With a variety of activities, there really is something for everyone!
  8. Neighbourhood Pulse Pop-Ups
    Last Thursday of every month from June to October  |  Various times  |  Various parks

    Explore the vibrant and unique spirit of our neighbourhoods. From painting in the park to trivia, bingo, and outdoor movie night, we're igniting connections among neighbours and celebrating the essence of our community at these monthly events. Events are geared toward an adult audience and will feature a new activity in a different park, kicking off with a comedy night at Rutland Centennial Park (250 Rutland Road N) on June 26.

Plus, the Rec & Ride Summer Youth Pass is back this summer! Enjoy highly discounted passes for kids and youth in Kelowna to get active and stay connected with access to both local transit and Parkinson Recreation Centre throughout July and August.
