Leckie Road - Rail Trail to Greenway ATC

Home > Our community > Planning & projects > Current capital projects > Leckie Road - Rail Trail to Greenway ATC

The Rail Trail to Greenway ATC will be a protected bike path on Leckie Road from Highway 97 to Dilworth Drive, filling the final gap in the ATC corridor between the Mission Creek Greenway and the Okanagan Rail Trail.  The project will link to existing multi-use pathways on either end. The City Conceptual Design has been finalized and construction is expected to begin in 2024.

The project includes:

  • Protected cycling connection along north side of Leckie Road from Highway 97 to Dilworth Drive, which will create a continuous biking corridor from the Okanagan Rail Trail to the Mission Creek Greenway.
  • New traffic signals at intersection of Leckie Road and Dilworth Drive, to improve safety and traffic operations.
  • Safety and accessibility improvements for all road users at all intersections.
  • Landscaping and new street trees.
  • Several parking spaces retained along south side of Leckie Road.
