Victoria Day hours of operation at civic properties
To mark the Victoria Day statutory holiday, City Hall will be closed Monday, May 18. No appointments are available on this day.
Parkinson Recreation Centre and all City-owned recreation and cultural facilities remain closed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information regarding facility closures and impacts, visit kelowna.ca/recreation.
The Glenmore Landfill will be open regular hours throughout the weekend from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. For the safety of both staff and customers, the landfill is only accepting non-cash payments at this time. OgoGrow and GlenGrow composts can be picked up at the Glenmore Landfill, or wholesale quantities (more than five yards) can be purchased from the Commonage Road Compost Facility until 4 p.m.
For residents who choose to explore our four-season playground this long weekend, a reminder that the Apex Trail at Knox Mountain Park is one-way only. Park users can use the Apex Trail to travel up the mountain and Knox Mountain Drive to go back down. Directional signage is in place to guide park users. Visitors will also note that there is new overflow parking accessible from Poplar Point Drive.
The Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery administration office will be closed Monday. Cemetery gates are open throughout the long weekend from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to use our online services and service request system. While not all City services are offered online, residents and business owners can do things such as; view utility bills, apply for various permits, register a bylaw infraction, report graffiti, and more. The City’s online service request system is available anytime and every day at kelowna.ca/onlineservices.
