Tickets are now on sale for HOOPFEST – multiple days filled with everything basketball, including a June 6 game at Prospera Place between Canadian Elite Basketball League’s Vancouver Bandits and the Saskatchewan Professional Basketball Club.
The festival will also include a 5-on-5 youth basketball tournament, coaching clinic, and additional programming to be announced.
Kelowna HOOPFEST reflects the City of Kelowna’s continued investment in hosting major sporting events that strengthen connection, inspire youth participation, and drive economic impact.
“Kelowna is excited to host the Vancouver Bandits and Saskatchewan Professional Basketball Club at Prospera Place,” Mayor Tom Dyas said when the event was announced earlier this month. “Kelowna continues to build its reputation as a premier event-hosting city, and we are proud to welcome the Canadian Elite Basketball League to our community. The first-ever Kelowna HOOPFEST and surrounding events will bring people to our city, support local businesses, and provide a boost to our local economy.”
The event is another example of how Kelowna has stepped onto the big stage once again to showcase its ability to host major events with flare and enthusiasm.
The City’s efforts to enhance community vibrancy include showcasing the programs, spaces, and services that foster connection, creativity, and opportunity.
In the past year, Kelowna has hosted the Canadian Premier League’s inaugural soccer match, secured the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards, welcomed the Brier curling championship, and will host the CHL’s Memorial Cup in 2026.
Hoopfest aligns with Kelowna’s long-standing vision of community connection. From the launch of the Kelowna Made festival to the expansion of the Block Connectors program, the City has consistently prioritized initiatives that strengthen neighbourhood ties and celebrate local culture.
