Cedar Creek to Kettle Valley Water Upgrades
Upgrades to the south end water system will make it more reliable and provide safe drinking water for growing neighbourhoods, supporting businesses and families for the long term.
The Cedar Creek water system brings drinking water from Okanagan Lake to the south end of the City, serving neighbourhoods like Kettle Valley. This project will increase water capacity from 41.5 to 70 megaliters per day and expand treated water storage with a new 2-million-liter cell at the Kettle Valley Reservoir. Work includes pump upgrades at Cedar Creek Pump Station and Stellar Booster Station, plus a new transmission main from Cedar Creek to Hedeman Court. These improvements will reduce reliance on the aging Eldorado Pump Station, protect critical infrastructure, and support future growth. The project also adds sewer service for multiple homes along Stellar Drive to better serve residents and safeguard the environment. Work from Cedar Creek Park to Stellar Booster Station will be completed in 2026. The remaining section of watermain through Main Street Park, Main Street and Chute Lake Road as well as the Kettle Valley Reservoir Expansion to be completed in 2027.
