Track your home water use in real time: free app available to help customers
News Release
Did you know that you can track your home water use anytime, anywhere? City Water Utility customers with updated water meters can download the EyeOnWater app to track water use, set up leak alerts, and determine the impact of various water uses in your home. You’ll never be surprised by a high water bill again since you’ll get notified of any continuous water use (like a running toilet or irrigation issue) before it shows up on your bill. Download the app now on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
“With water restrictions underway for multiple water systems in Kelowna, now is the perfect time to get familiar with the EyeOnWater app,” says Ed Hoppe, Water Quality & Customer Care Manager. “EyeOnWater shows hourly and daily patterns so you can check the impact of sprinklers, showers, laundry and seasonal watering, and make small changes that add up. You have nothing to lose, except your water leaks.”
The app is only available to customers who have had their water meter recently replaced, with the addition of the meter transmitter. If you are a City Utility customer and haven’t yet had your meter replaced yet, schedule your installation today by calling 250-862-0409. Meter replacements are free are only take 30-45 minutes to install.
Drought conditions in Kelowna have continued and watering restrictions are in place for multiple Water Utilities. Find your schedule and current restrictions at kelowna.ca/waterrestrictions.
