Dive into summer: recreation program registration begins next week

Get set for a new fun, summer season with hundreds of recreation programs for all ages and abilities! This summer’s recreation offerings include many exciting ways for Kelowna residents to get active, or discover something new -- from summer camps to adult and youth fitness programs and much more.  

 

“The sun is out, temperatures are warmer and everyone is looking for ways to stay active and enjoy the summer,” says Tom Clark, Recreation Program Supervisor. “Join us and learn a new skill, play your favourite sport, keep the kids active at summer camp or find a fitness class that meets your schedule. There is so much fun to be had during Kelowna summers.” 

 

Be sure to take a peek online at kelowna.ca/recreation and get ready to reserve your spot because registration for the City’s summer recreation programs is opening soon!: 

 

Summer registration dates and times: 

* June 2 - 7 a.m. – General Programs 

* June 3 - 7 a.m. - Adult Sports and Leagues  

* June 4 - 7 a.m. - Swim Lessons  

* June 5 - 10 a.m. - Adaptive Programs  

 

You can register for summer recreation programs online, by phone (250-469-8800) or in person at Parkinson Recreation Centre (1800 Parkinson Way). Create an online account by selecting the “New Customer” button at rec.kelowna.ca. Once created, you can add family members to your account through the “My Groups/Family” feature.
