You’re invited: Ben Lee Waterpark splash party
Families can splash, play and celebrate at Ben Lee Park on Saturday, May 2, from 1–3 p.m., as the City of Kelowna marks the opening of several new water features, designed to give kids more ways to play, cool off and be active close to home.
A short ribbon‑cutting ceremony will take place before activities begin. Families are then invited to explore the new water features and enjoy a Park & Play pop-up, with lawn games and inflatables available when weather allows.
New waterpark features include an activity tower, splash blasters, a water weaver, tidal wave and activator posts. The interactive features are designed for a wide range of ages, encouraging movement, creativity and shared play. Many elements are easy to reach, making them welcoming for younger children and caregivers who want to stay close.
This investment is part of the City’s ongoing work to improve neighbourhood parks and create safe, inclusive places where families can gather, play and connect without having to travel far. For Rutland families, it means improved local options for outdoor fun, social play and summertime relief from the heat.
Please note that water features will be turned on for this event only and will be turned off afterward until the May long weekend, when the waterpark opens for the season.
