Temporary road closure on Coronation Ave. for Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk

The annual Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk, hosted by Metro Community, will take place on Saturday, February 28, with activities based out of the Metro Community Hub on St. Paul St.

To support event setup and ensure participant safety, Coronation Ave. will be closed to traffic from St. Paul St. to Ellis St. from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Access in the immediate area may be slowed during peak participation between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Walk participants will also be using sections of the Lakefront Promenade between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., and pedestrians may experience brief congestion during this time. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes where possible.
