Stewart Rd. West single-lane alternating traffic

January 22, 2026

Traffic Advisory

Beginning Monday, January 26, and continuing into March, sections of Bedford Rd. between Dehart Rd. to Stewart Rd. W and Stewart Rd. West between Bedford Rd. to Saucier Rd. will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic to accommodate ongoing road improvements.

The single‑lane alternating traffic zone will move along the road corridor as crews complete sections of the work. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians may wish to choose other routes when possible.

Work on this project includes safety improvements with road realignment, relocation of utilities, and the addition of new storm infrastructure. These upgrades will enhance traffic safety and support continued community growth.

The project will continue through to the fall, with additional traffic impacts expected later in the year.

Travellers are asked to follow traffic management personnel directions, posted construction signage, temporary barriers and lane dividers to ensure everyone’s safety while commuting through the area.

The City of Kelowna and onsite crews appreciate your patience during construction and apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
