June 11, 2026

Traffic Advisory

The Kelowna Wine Country Half Marathon will take place Saturday, June 13, beginning at the intersection of Rose Rd. and McCullough Rd. and finishes on the lakefront promenade outside the Delta Grand Okanagan Hotel, with multiple race distances using a shared course. For event details, visit kelownamarathon.ca.

Traffic control measures will be in effect starting at approximately 6:30 a.m. Runners will begin shortly after, with flaggers executing rolling closures to accommodate participants safely moving along the route.

The course travels along a series of southeast Kelowna roads before connecting to the Mission Creek Greenway and continuing toward the waterfront. Traffic control personnel will be executing rolling road closures as well as stationed at key intersections to allow runners to pass safely, resulting in short, intermittent delays for drivers.

Additional race distances, including 10K and 5K events, will take place the same morning and follow portions of the same route.

All traffic impacts are expected to conclude by approximately 10:30 a.m.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow directions from traffic control personnel.
