Partial Hartman Road closure starting Monday

Beginning Monday, June 29, a section of Hartman Road between the Rutland Recreation Dog Park and Rutland Road will be closed during construction hours, Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road will be open to single lane traffic headed east only during evenings from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next day, and on weekends. Street parking will be unavailable during this time. Road work will expand bike infrastructure and make safety improvements for all commuters. All construction is expected to be completed by November.

Residents who live on Maygard Road, Fizet Avenue or Fizet Court can access their homes via McCurdy Road East. Access to the store at the corner of Rutland Road and Hartman Road will remain open.

Detours are available via McCurdy Road East, Craig Road and Bach Road as well as Hemlock Road and Craig Road, especially for those accessing Rutland Middle and Senior Secondary Schools or other nearby amenities and/or community centres.
