Parking Services moves toward becoming a one-stop shop
Public Service Announcement
City of Kelowna Parking Services is relocating to better serve the community. Effective immediately, the issuance of ECO-Passes and bylaw offence notice inquiries are being handled at the new office, located at 1450 St Paul St.
Resident and accessible permits will continue to be issued at City Hall until further notice.
The Kelowna Parking office, currently located at the Library Parkade, will also be relocating to the St Paul location effective July 21.
All services will gradually transition to the new St. Paul Street location as part of an effort to consolidate all parking-related services into one location to improve accessibility and efficiency.
Parking Services manages more than 1,350 on-street pay parking spaces, approximately 3,200 spaces in three parkades and 24 surface parking lots, and more than 200 on-street blocks where time limits or residential restrictions are in place.
The parking management strategy is guided by a set of principles to ensure the parking system:
- Improves the availability of short-term parking spaces
- Continues to pay for itself so that general taxation is not impacted
- Offers customer service options for better customer interaction
- Provides a balanced transportation network for residents
- Works with institutions, businesses, and developers
The City appreciates the public’s understanding during this transition and looks forward to continuing to serve the community from the new location.
