Parkade rates apply from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. There is no-charge parking after hours, weekends and holidays (except during Special Events - Signs will be displayed near the entrance when event parking is in effect).

  • On weekdays between 6am and 6pm, public parking is permitted only on Levels 1 & 2.
Off-street parking lots

Pay parking is generally in effect from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (Downtown) and 9am to 5pm (South Pandosy). There is no-charge for parking in the evening, or on weekends and holidays (except during Special Events). 


  • Water Street and Cook Road Boat Launch lots - Pay parking at all times
  • Police Services Building Lot - Pay parking from 3pm to 11pm on weekdays and 6am to 11pm on weekends (No public parking 6am-3pm on weekdays) 
  • Short Term off-street lots offer hourly parking only and may be subject to a time limit.
  • Long Term off-street lots offer hourly, daily and monthly parking.
  • Most lots offer unlimited in-and-out privileges, based on space availability. 
  • Non-Reserved spaces in off-Street lots are available to accessible permit holders at no charge.
  • RV, oversized and bus parking is permitted on all metered lots; each occupied stall must be paid for.
  • Overnight Camping is not permitted in any City lot or parkade.
On-street parking

Pay Parking is in effect from 9am to 5pm, (Downtown) Monday to Saturday and (South Pandosy) Monday to Friday. There is no-charge for on-street parking in the evening after 5pm or Sundays and holidays.

  • ECO-PASS PERMIT  – 2 hrs (max) per day of no-charge on-street parking for qualifying vehicles (time limits apply)
  • Purchase a ticket from a “Pay & Display” meter. Your ticket must be displayed face up on your windshield.  In locations offering "Pay by Licence Plate" you are not required to display a receipt on your dash.
  • While valid, your paid parking session is transferable to any City off-street lot or other on-street parking. Posted time limits remain in effect.
  • 30-minute, one-hour and two-hour time limits are in effect at various locations. You will be subject to an Overtime Parking offence notice if you exceed any posted time limit.
  • Time limits in pay parking areas double on Saturdays.
  • For longer term parking, park in a parkade or off-street lot.
  • Parking is not permitted on any downtown street between the hours of 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. to allow for street cleaning and snow removal.  Please park in a parkade or off-street lot if you may be leaving your vehicle overnight

Active transportation
  • Alternatives to parking include options such as transit, cycling to work, car pooling etc.    
  • Bike lockers are located in several locations within the Downtown and South Pandosy areas that are available for monthly rental.  For more information please contact Kelowna Parking at 250-862-8585.
  • Several transit enhancements including expansion of the rapid bus service were made in 2014.
  • If three or more people at an organization purchase a monthly bus pass for use on the Kelowna Regional Transit System, you can sign up for the ProPass Program to have the cost of those passes reduced.
  • Revenue Canada offers an income tax deduction for the cost of monthly transit passes.
Staff parking options

Should staff wish/need to bring their personal vehicle and park all day, they will need to park at an appropriate location. The City and private providers operate a number of parking lots and parkades that offer daily/monthly parking.
