News Release
Reekie Rd. seasonal worker housing
Council supported an application for 100 temporary housing units for agricultural workers at 3520 Reekie Rd. and recommended it be forwarded to the Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) for consideration.
Coronation Ave. rental accommodations
Council approved a rezoning application that will allow for a new 85-unit rental apartment building at 579-602 Coronation Ave.
HAF Transit Corridor Pilot Project Final Plan
Council amended the Official Community Plan to align with the Housing Action Fund (HAF) Transit Supportive Corridor Pilot Project. This change will encourage more housing options including stacked rowhouses, low-rise apartment buildings as well as mixed commercial and residential use buildings along Transit Supportive Corridors.
Delegation of Authority for Heritage Conservation Area
Council received a report outlining a proposal to remove delegated authority for Heritage Alteration permits in the Heritage Conservation Area and directed staff to prepare an amendment to make the change and return to Council for future consideration.
