Chute Lake Road temporarily closed for work on roundabout
Traffic Advisory
Beginning Wednesday, August 6, for approximately two months, Chute Lake Road will be closed between Barnaby Road and South Crest Drive for the final phases of construction on the Frost Road extension and Chute Lake Road roundabout. Detour options will be available via Lakeshore Road or Barnaby Road.
A full road closure allows the work to be completed faster, safer and at a lower cost.
Motorists are required to use the detours in place and may wish to choose other routes when possible. A temporary pathway will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists to safely move through the construction zone. Emergency access will be maintained.
The Frost Road extension and Chute Lake Road roundabout project will expand transportation options, streamline traffic and improve safety. The project will also bring improvements to the neighbourhood including new sidewalks and a multi-use pathway, street lighting and upgrades to water and storm utilities.
Please abide by safety personnel instructions, posted construction signage and fencing to ensure everyone’s safety while commuting through the area.
The City of Kelowna and onsite crews appreciate your patience during construction and apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
