Water Street closure for YMCA Cycle for Strong Kids event Sunday

Water St. between Doyle Ave. and Queensway will be closed to vehicle traffic on Sunday, June 7 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accommodate the 19th annual YMCA Cycle for Strong Kids event at Stuart Park.

Transit routes through the downtown core may experience delays. Riders are encouraged to check BC Transit for service updates.

Motorists should expect increased traffic and delays in the downtown area during this time. Access to the closure area will be restricted, though pedestrian access will remain open. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to help direct vehicles and pedestrians safely around the closure. Please follow instructions from safety personnel and respect all posted signage to ensure everyone’s safety.
