Temporary Gyro Beach parking lot closures for crane removal

Beginning Tuesday, July 22, from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Gyro Beach parking lot and the parking lot access lane between Watt Road and Lakeshore Road will be temporarily closed to allow for the safe removal of a tower crane at the Movala Development. 

Weather permitting, the closure may need to extend to July 23.  

A detour will be in place for area residents. Emergency access will be maintained, and businesses in the area will remain open. 

Please abide by safety personnel instructions, posted construction signage and fencing to ensure everyone’s safety while commuting through the area.
