Sallows PRV Upgrades
The Sallows pressure reducing valve (PRV) is one of the largest PRV facilities in the non-potable water network and it services Kelowna's largest pressure zone (570 m). Due to being subject to significant transient pressures, this PRV requires upgrading to eliminate potential issues with wall spools and failed piping as well as apply new above ground standards in order to remove confined space entry requirements. This project is prioritized for renewal under the Non-Potable PRV renewal program and is essential to providing adequate water pressure to residents and agricultural properties in addition to supplying fire protection.
