Rutland Transit Network Restructuring
Addition/upgrade of fourteen (14) bus stops to support Rutland transit route restructuring and increase accessibility.
In 2022, the City of Kelowna and BC Transit initiated a planning exercise that included public consultation which culminated in identification of multiple areas of improvement for transit in the Rutland area. The Rutland Local Area Transit Plan details the proposed plans to the transit system to better align the network with the increase in population density and land use changes that are part of the City’s 2040 Official Community Plan and Transportation Master Plan.
The majority of the work has been completed. Shelters at select locations will be installed in Spring 2026 to complete the project.
