Okanagan Rail Trail - Old Vernon Rd to Lake Country (City Owned Sections)

This project will start to complete the missing rail-trail connection from Old Vernon Road at the north end of the Kelowna Airport to the boundary of Lake Country near Beaver Lake Road. Current construction (now complete) includes clearing & grubbing, grading and graveling the segment within Eldorado Ranch, south of the Okanagan Indian Band IR#7, as well as the incomplete section north of Beaver Lake Road. Completion of the remaining segment within the Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB) IR#7 and paving of the complete section will proceed once the land transfer of the former CN Rail right-of-way to OKIB is completed by the Federal Government, the timeline of which is yet to be confirmed.
