Highway 97 - Standard Highway Median Redesign

The City is undertaking a redesign of the Highway 97 medians with the goal of increasing tree planting through the implementation of a gravity-fed watering system, thereby eliminating the need for traditional electrically powered irrigation. The design prioritizes the use of non-potable water supplied by City water trucks, while also enhancing operator safety by reducing or removing the need for drivers to exit their vehicles during water disposal. The median between Vasile Road and Cooper Road has been selected as the first site for this initiative.
