This fireflow upgrade project has long been identified in water master plans to help achieve industrial fireflows for the local neighbourhood. The existing watermain, located within private property without the protection of an SRW (statutory right of way), has a history of main breaks and water service leaks. The design objective is to install the new watermain between the current alignment and the existing sanitary main allowing for coordination with potential future development along this block.
