The Adams Road Dike is a regulated structure under the provincial Dike Maintenance Act with the City serving as its diking authority. The dike protects low-lying industrial lands from Mill Creek flooding and recent inspections have repeatedly identified the need for rehabilitation and vegetation removal. This project will investigate the dike’s integrity through geotechnical investigations, address the known vegetation issues and increase the functionality of an existing stormwater outfall that travels through the structure.
