World Soccer Watch Party brings global soccer energy to Waterfront Park

Fans are invited to take a break from cheering on the BC Lions to celebrate those other football games when the World Soccer Watch Party takes over Waterfront Park on Thursday, July 2, as part of Touchdown Kelowna Festival.
The free, all-ages event will stream FIFA World Cup action live on the Waterfront Park Stage, with games kicking off at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Fans will watch every call, save and exuberant goal on two giant LED screens, supported by full concert-quality sound designed to bring stadium-level energy to the waterfront.
“We’re thrilled to include the World Soccer Watch Party as part of the slate of Touchdown Kelowna Festival programming,” said Sarah Semeniuk, Event Services Supervisor with the City of Kelowna. “While we hope Canada’s still in it, regardless, this is going to be an incredible way for fans to come together, feel the energy of the World Cup and celebrate global football right here in Kelowna.”
Marc Dermott from 99.9 Sun FM will host the event and keep the excitement going between matches with music, giveaways and crowd energy. lakeside festival atmosphere.
Food trucks and alcohol sales will be on site, and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for free lawn seating. All ages are welcome.
The World Soccer Watch Party is one of several free community events happening during Touchdown Kelowna Festival, which brings football, music, fan experiences and waterfront programming to Kelowna from June 26 to July 4.
Guests are encouraged to catch transit, walk or use the free Bike Valet at Bernard Avenue and Mill Street for a safe and convenient place to park during the festival. There will also be additional Lime scooter and e-bike availability at Waterfront Park.
While most Waterfront Park Stage programming is free to attend, the Kick off Concert with Alan Doyle, Boots on the Beach Concert featuring The Road Hammers, and the Flip Flop Gala require tickets.
