Temporary closure of Strathcona Beach Park playground 

 The Strathcona Beach Park playground will be closed until 6 p.m. on Friday, April 10. It will reopen and then close again intermittently on weekdays beginning Monday, April 20, for approximately two weeks.
 
The closure allows for custom steel gates and fencing to be installed around the playground to help create a safer, more supportive space for neurodivergent park users. This improvement was informed by accessibility feedback gathered through engagement. 
 
Please abide by posted construction signage and fencing to ensure everyone’s safety while visiting the area.
