Road closures in Rutland this Saturday

The annual Vaisakhi Parade is taking place this Saturday, April 25, beginning at the Okanagan Sikh Temple. The parade is part of a Sikh celebration of spring harvest.  

To accommodate the parade, there will be traffic disruptions and road closures in place on Saturday, April 25.  New this year, there will be full road closures of the parade route with no vehicle access. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., sections of Friesen Rd., Irene Ct., Irene Rd., McLennan Cres., Ortt Pl., Ortt Rd., Parfitt Ct., Patrick Rd., Sumac Dr. E, Sycamore Rd. and Wallace Rd. will be closed.  

Please plan an alternate route and park outside of the closure area. Traffic interruptions may be present in this area outside of the closure times. Flaggers will be present at all intersections on the parade route to help direct traffic.
