Inspired City Summit returns with new venue, expanded programming and a focus on impact
News Release
Calling all non-profits! The Inspired City Summit returns on Saturday, April 11, 2026, bringing community leaders, professionals and changemakers together for a full day of learning, collaboration and connection. Early-bird registration is now open for the annual conference hosted by the City of Kelowna with the support of Dante Group, which will be held for the first time at the Delta Grand Conference Centre to accommodate increasing demand. More than 300 attendees are expected to take part in this year’s program.
“This year’s theme, impact, invites participants to explore how strategic growth, clear goal setting and organizational stability can expand their reach and deepen their influence in the community,” says Christine McWillis, Cultural Services Manager. “The conference sells out each year and draws a diverse audience, including executive directors, board members, senior leaders, staff and volunteers from across the Okanagan and surrounding regions.”
Conference registration includes access to three sessions selected from 15 curated workshop and panel options, each designed to address key priorities in the nonprofit sector. Attendees will hear from local experts, participate in skill building discussions and gain practical tools they can apply directly to their work.
In addition to Saturday’s conference, two dedicated networking events will help support new relationships and collaboration. The pre-conference networking event called Social Summit will take place Friday, April 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, offering a relaxed opportunity for attendees to connect in advance of the main event. A post-conference reception on April 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Delta Grand will provide further space for conversation, idea sharing and continued relationship building.
Launched in the years following the pandemic, the Inspired City Summit was created to support the resiliency and evolution of the local nonprofit sector. What began as a response to a moment of uncertainty has grown into an annual gathering point for organizational learning and collective action thanks to our community sponsors, Dante Group, Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, Central Okanagan Foundation, and MNP. See how this conference works towards strengthening the connections and capacity that help build a more vibrant and resilient community.
