City breaks ground on new Activity Centre in Rutland

This Thursday, July 9, the public are invited to attend the official groundbreaking ceremony for a major new community investment in Rutland. The program begins at 1 p.m. at the site of the new Activity Centre, 155 Gray Road at the eastern edge of Lions Park.

This new all-ages activity centre beside Lions Park will feature a gymnasium, multi-purpose rooms and a teaching kitchen. It will provide much-needed recreation, wellness and community gathering space for Rutland residents while supporting the neighbourhood’s growth as a thriving urban hub through the Building a Stronger Kelowna initiative.
