Cheer on Canada at additional World Soccer Watch Party on July 4

With Canada advancing to the FIFA World Cup Round of 16, an additional World Soccer Watch Party has just been added to the Touchdown Kelowna Festival lineup on Saturday, July 4 at Waterfront Park.
Fans are invited to come together and cheer on Canada as they take the field in the next knockout round. The free, all-ages event will be streamed live on two giant LED screens at the Waterfront Park Stage, with kickoff at 10 a.m. for the Canada match and 2 p.m. for TBD second match-up of day.
“Given Canada’s exciting run, we’re thrilled to add another World Soccer Watch Party to the festival lineup and create an opportunity for the community to come together,” said Sarah Semeniuk, Event Services Supervisor with the City of Kelowna. “There’s nothing quite like sharing that energy with others, and we look forward to seeing fans gather at Waterfront Park to cheer on Canada!”
Food trucks and concession will be open and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for free lawn seating. Waterfront Park will open at 9 a.m. with Fan Fest beginning at 11 a.m. featuring family friendly fun including football-themed games, face-painting, hands-on activities in Waterfront Park. All ages are welcome.
Following the matches, fans are welcome to stay for the BC Lions vs Edmonton Elks Watch Party at 4 p.m., followed by the Post-Game Concert featuring Shalisa Liesch at 8 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to catch transit, walk or use the free Bike Valet at Bernard Avenue and Mill Street for a safe and convenient place to park during the festival. There will also be additional Lime scooter and e-bike availability at Waterfront Park.
