The Work

Horizon is a looking glass through the point where the mountains and water join the earth and sky. The sculpture is made of 35 individual glass dichroic and frosted glass panels that become clear when the viewer walks, runs, or cycles in front of the artwork. Using 35 lidar sensors and 'switch' glass' the clear windows will follow the viewer as they travels from one end to the other. The artwork serves as a reminder that our action that will be what eases pollution making the air cleaner and clearer.

The Project

The Artist

Studio F Minus' creative process is driven by two core principles: considering the public experience, and capturing public values. Because each site they create for is different, each piece of artwork is unique. Crown West Steel Fabricators in Kelowna assisted with fabrication.
