Apply for permissive tax exemptions by July 15
News Release
The deadline to apply for permissive tax exemptions is July 15.
Kelowna‑based registered non‑profit organizations—including places of worship, private schools, and hospitals—may be eligible if their property is used for municipal, recreational, religious, cultural, or charitable purposes.
Permissive tax exemptions are granted for a five‑year cycle, with the current cycle ending in 2030.

Missed the property tax deadline?
Property taxes were due July 2. Any unpaid balance is now subject to a non‑discretionary 10 per cent penalty.
Late payment notices will be issued starting this week. Property owners have until December 31 to pay the outstanding balance and avoid additional interest charges.
