Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society
Turtle Island Festival
Honouring Culture. Celebrating Community.
Each year on National Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society hosts the Turtle Island Festival — a vibrant street celebration in the heart of Kelowna. The 400–500 block of Leon Avenue comes alive with music, dancing, children’s activities, a mini-powwow, artisan vendors, and delicious food.
This festival is a joyful gathering that highlights the strength, beauty, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island, with a focus on celebrating the rich cultures right here in our community.
Join the Celebration
Everyone is welcome to attend. Come for the music, stay for the stories, and leave with a deeper connection to the land and its original caretakers.
