Have you received your property tax bill?

Property tax notices for 2026 are now being sent to property owners across Kelowna. Paper bills began mailing on May 23, while residents signed up for eBilling received their tax notice by email earlier.

What to do if you haven’t received your bill
If you were expecting your tax bill and haven’t seen it yet:

  • Signed up for eBilling? Check your email (including your junk folder) or log in to your Property Account to view and download your bill online.
  • Waiting for a paper bill? Please allow a few more days for mail delivery—or log in to your Property Account to view and download your bill right away.

Taxes are due July 2
Property owners have until July 2 to claim the provincial Home Owner Grant and pay their property taxes to avoid a 10 per cent penalty. The Home Owner Grant is separate from the B.C. Speculation Tax and must be claimed with the Province before the tax deadline.

Tips to save money and time:

  • Claim your grant. The average homeowner saves $770 by claiming the Home Owner Grant through the B.C. government.
  • Avoid credit card fees: Pay by debit, online banking, cheque, or cash to avoid the 2.8 per cent credit card transaction fee.
  • Skip the line at City Hall. Pay online through your bank or in person at your financial institution to avoid lineups.
  • Plan ahead for the Canada Day holiday: Avoid late penalties, pay early and allow at least five business days for your bank to process your payment.
