Stewart Rd West Phase 2

Stewart Rd West is a 2-lane major arterial road between South Perimeter Way and Swamp Rd, approximately 4.8 km in length. With increased traffic volumes anticipated due to the South Perimeter Way connection and continued growth in the Upper Mission, improvements are needed to ensure an acceptable level of traffic safety and operation. The first phase of this project was constructed in 2019 and the second phase is scheduled for construction in 2026. 

The proposed works include a realignment and regrading of the road corridor, as well as a reconfiguration of both the Bedford/Dehart Rd and the Stewart/Bedford Rd intersections. Additional work includes the relocation of affected utilities, addition of street lighting at intersections as well as the addition of bike lanes.
