How to prepare to apply:
Prepare the following materials:
- Scaled drawings - two (2) complete sets are required, and site plans (if scaled plans are greater than 11x17). These can be delivered to City Hall (2nd Floor, attn "Application Centre").
- Appliance specification sheet

- Submissions of full sized paper copies of plans and roof truss packages will be accepted at City Hall (2nd Floor, attn "Application Centre").
- Cosmetic changes such as painting, flooring, replacing baseboards and resurfacing cabinets do not require a building permit. Please refer the building bylaw to see when a permit is required.
- A separate application is required for each building.
- Building permit application fees will be emailed to you with a link to pay online, payment of the fee is a required part of a complete application.
