How to prepare to apply:
New small multi-family homes
Prepare the following materials:
- Structural & Geotechnical schedules and drawings (Schedule B, D & Insurance), if applicable
- 9.36 Energy efficiency specifications
- State of Title, current within last 30 days, including copies of all covenants, easements and right-of-ways
- Homeowner Protection Office warranty documentation (Provide confirmation that you have applied for this build)
- Scaled drawings - two (2) complete sets are required, and site plans (if scaled plans are greater than 11x17). These can be delivered to City Hall (2nd Floor, attn "Application Centre").
- Roof truss package, complete with future solar panel loading
- Solar panel design on roof truss layout
- Water letter from irrigation district, if applicable
- Septic approval, if applicable
- Developer's approval, if applicable
Additions and renovations
Prepare the following materials:
- Structural & Geotechnical schedules and drawings (Schedule B, D & Insurance), if applicable
- Scaled architectural drawings (if scaled plans are greater than 11x17, hard copies are required).
- Site plan (for additions and exterior renovations only, not required for interior renovations)
- Roof truss package, if applicable
- State of Title, current within last 30 days, including copies of all covenants, easements and right-of-ways (for additions and decks only, not required for interior renovations)

- Submissions of full sized paper copies of plans and roof truss packages will be accepted at City Hall (2nd Floor, attn "Application Centre").
- A separate application is required for each building.
- Building permit application fees will be emailed to you with a link to pay online, payment of the fee is a required part of a complete application.
