BC Building code energy efficiency requirements

Two bulletins explaining the options that can be used to meet the energy efficiency requirements found in Section 9.36 of the British Columbia Building Code (BCBC) pertaining to Part 9 buildings. The first bulletin summarizes two prescriptive pathways and performance pathway 9.36.5. The second bulletin describes the Energy Step Code requirements, which will become the mandatory energy efficiency pathway for Part 9 residential buildings in Kelowna starting December 1, 2019.
