Kelowna Regional RCMP

Service delivery is based on the community policing concept, which emphasizes community partnerships to maintain “safe homes and safe communities."

In addition to the main police office situated downtown, the detachment has a community policing office (CPO) in Rutland. The goal of the CPO is to help fulfill the RCMP's commitment to work in partnership with the community in sharing the delivery of policing services. CPOs provide a place for members of the public to direct a variety of police or crime related inquiries or initiate non-emergency crime reports.

Members of the public attending these locations may receive assistance in reporting minor offences, dealing with police members or obtaining information relating to crime prevention and community policing concerns. A CPO is a community base, non-threatening office available for the public to receive assistance in dealing with personal problems or issues within the community.
