Automated Voting Machines General Local Elections and Other Voting Bylaw
This bylaw outlines the procedures and requirements to be applied in the conduct of local government elections and other voting that’s regulated under the Local Government Act. Voting for school trustee, mayor and councilor is done by hand, on specially prepared ballots, but the vote counting is done electronically using voting machines. The paper ballots are still retained if a recount, whether electronic or manual, is required. Various election terms used during general local elections are also defined.
