Description: The extension of Lapointe Drive within an 18.0 m urban right-of-way, terminating in a new cul-de-sac, together with all associated earthworks, storm servicing, roadworks, concrete works, and shallow utility provisions.

The principal components of the Work include:

• Site preparation and earthworks — clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping for both onsite re-use and offsite disposal, mass grading and excavation with offsite haul, removal and offsite disposal of the existing cul-de-sac, culvert, rip rap and roadside crossing, and full erosion and sediment control for the duration of construction.

• Storm servicing — approximately 80 m of 600 mm perforated storm main with wrapped infiltration trench, catch basins and 200 mm leads, two 1200 mm storm manholes, connection to the existing storm system, roadside ditch grading and hydroseeding, and CCTV inspection of the completed storm works.

• Roadworks — granular sub-base and base, two-lift hot-mix asphalt paving, saw cutting and asphalt milling at tie-ins, pavement markings, and signage.

• Concrete works — barrier curb and gutter, 1.5 m concrete sidewalk, coloured stamped concrete boulevard with tree wells and landscaping to match the existing frontage, and a concrete driveway letdown.

• Shallow utilities — roadway lighting (concrete bases, poles and luminaires) and conduit and common trenching provisions for Fortis Electrical, Fortis Gas, Telus, and Rogers/Shaw. Project closes Aug 21, 2026 2:00 PM PDT.
