Description: This training structure will play a critical role in providing training to new firefighters, as well as on going training to firefighters in Kelowna and the surrounding areas. This structure will be used for interior and exterior fire suppression training, search, ladder evolutions, rapid intervention, technical rope rescue, confined space rescue, ventilation, fireground survival, and incident scene management. This facility will support hands on training in alignment with NFPA 1001 Firefighter professional qualifications, 1021 Fire Officer Professional Qualifications, and 1006 Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications.
