We invite individuals, organizations, businesses and collectives of diverse histories and practices to play an active part in the process of sharing and implementing the 2020-2025 Cultural Plan by hosting a “Share the Plan” event with your staff, board, volunteers, members, friends or the general public.

A “Share the Plan” Event Grant is intended to support you to host a conversation about the 2020-2025 Cultural Plan and report your thoughts and ideas back to us.For more information, read through the Call for Expression of Interest below!

The Share the Plan Event Grants are intended to support you in hosting these conversations and reporting your thoughts and ideas back to us.

This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the program, the funding opportunity and try-out some of the conversation starter activities you may employ with your own group. This is also an excellent opportunity to ask questions and see if this is the right opportunity for you.

City year-end closures

During the holiday season City Hall will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019 t0 Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020 (inclusive). We will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 at 8 a.m.

Essential services such as fire, police, snow removal, water supply and wastewater treatment will remain in operation. The Kelowna International Airport remains open 24/7.

For water, sewer, parks, roads, snow removal and after-hour inquiries, contact the Civic Operations’ call centre at
250-469-8600. You can also access the City's online service request system 24/7 at kelowna.ca/onlineservices.

Official City social media channels will not be active during this closure.

Business licence renewal payments are due Jan. 15 and can be renewed by mail or online, when there are no changes to an existing licence.

City of Kelowna facility holiday closures are planned around a low service demand period.

Child Care Planning Focus Group 2019-10-01

Join us at the Parkinson Recreation Centre in Kelowna on October 1st from 6:30pm – 8:30pm to learn more about the Care For Our Kids project. Following the presentation, there will be roundtable activities where your input will help us better understand the state of child care in the Central Okanagan.

The focus group is for parents / guardians, providers, or anyone who regularly works with children aged 0-12. Child care will be provided if needed. Please indicate in your RSVP.
