Celebrate Mother’s Day at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery with a peaceful afternoon of live music, reflection, and remembrance. Guests are invited to enjoy two special musical performances, beginning with the Candesca Vocal Ensemble from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., featuring a beautiful blend of classical and modern vocal pieces. From 12:15 to 2:00 p.m., a live harpist will provide a gentle and calming soundtrack throughout the Cemetery grounds.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic supplies and enjoy listening to the music from the lawn. Carnations will be available throughout the Cemetery for placement on the graves of loved ones, offering a simple and meaningful way to honour mothers and those who have passed.

Remember when life was simpler - when kids played outside until the streetlights came on and neighbours were just a door knock away? This Neighbour Day, we invite residents to rediscover that spirit of connection and fun! 

Check out your local Neighbourhood Associations to see if there's a celebration planned in your area - or take the lead and create one yourself! Celebrating your neighbours doesn't have to be a grand event. It can be as simple as a friendly game of street hockey or sharing a pot of tea in the driveway. Whether you live in an apartment, condo, townhouse or detached home, there are many ways to connect with your neighbours.
