Intro to Tai Chi- Yang Style - Monday 7:00 PM (Jun 18 - Jun 26)
This course is intended to be an introduction to Tai Chi Chuan. When practicing this martial art, the practitioner combines relaxed fluid movement with a calm, alert mental state. Clinical tests have shown those who practice Tai Chi have stronger hearts, better circulation and greater flexibility. We will begin with warm ups exercises and Qigong before moving into the beginning of a Tai Chi form.
Cancer Exercise Program - Monday 3:00 PM (May 22 - Jun 26)
This is a specialized exercise program that supports men living with prostate cancer and men living with other cancers. This class will help you increase flexibility, improve muscle and cardiovascular fitness, meet new people and learn safe and effective exercises.
F.A.M.E (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) - Tuesday 2:30 PM (May 20 - Jun 26)
FAME (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) is a community-based program for stroke survivors and is designed specifically and proven to improve fitness, mobility and strength. The small group class includes functional strength, agility and balance exercises. Suitable for people at any time after stroke who can stand for 5 minutes, walk for four metres (even with a walking aid) and communicate with the instructor.

Strengthen, lengthen and tone your muscles with this Pilates and yoga inspired class. Using your bodyweight as well as balls, weights and bands to engage your deepest muscles and uncover a stronger you!
Cardio, Strength & Flexibility - Thursday 9:15 AM (May 15 - Jun 26)
Increase your cardiovascular capacity with low impact cardio. For the strength portion of the class we will use different equipment such as resistance bands, weights, stability balls and mats etc. Get different options to make it as easy or as hard as you want.
Osteofit - Tuesday 10:30 AM (May 20 - Jun 26)
Osteofit has been designed specifically for people with osteoporosis and low bone density who have been inactive and are looking for an introductory exercise program. It is safe for individuals who have had spinal fractures or who have broken their hip or other bones and is safe and gentle enough not to cause pain or injury even if you are not used to exercise. Taught by a certified Osteofit instructor. This program is appropriate for participants with Parkinson's disease and the general population.

This gentle form of yoga is practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. We will start with a short meditation and breathing exercises before the practice. The poses, or Asanas, are often adaptations of Hatha yoga. We will end the class with a short meditation and a quote for the day. This program is not suitable for those with osteopenia/osteoporosis.
