Power Hour - Thursday 6:00 PM (May 21 - Jun 18)
Build your strength while working all muscle groups with a variety of strengthening and conditioning exercises. This sculpting class incorporates traditional weight-room exercises and compound exercises to tone your full body using resistance like dumbbells, bands and your own body weight to challenge you. All-Levels.
Advanced Exercise for Stroke Survivors - Tuesday 11:45 AM (May 19 - Jun 25)
A fitness class for stroke survivors ready to move forward. Build strength, improve balance, and reconnect with your body in a supportive, energizing environment. Led by knowledgeable instructors, each session is tailored to challenge and inspire. Suitable for people at any time after stroke who can stand for 5 minutes, walk for four metres (even with a walking aid) and communicate with the instructor. This isn’t rehab—it’s your next chapter in movement.
Osteofitness - Tuesday 10:30 AM (May 19 - Jun 25)
Osteofit has been designed specifically for people with osteoporosis and low bone density who have been inactive and are looking for an introductory exercise program. It is safe for individuals who have had spinal fractures or who have broken their hip or other bones and is safe and gentle enough not to cause pain or injury even if you are not used to exercise. Taught by a certified Osteofit instructor. This program is appropriate for participants with Parkinson's disease and the general population.
Cardio, Strength & Flexibility - Thursday 9:15 AM (May 21 - Jun 25)
Increase your cardiovascular capacity with low impact cardio. For the strength portion of the class we will use different equipment such as resistance bands, weights, stability balls and mats etc. Get different options to make it as easy or as hard as you want.
Swimmer 8 – Ranger Patrol - Saturday 10:00 AM (Apr 25 - Jun 20)
Ranger Patrol enhances capability in the water including stride entries and underwater, forward and backward somersaults. Swimmers learn lifesaving sport skills with a lifesaving stroke medley, timed object support and a non-contact rescue with a buoyant aid. Eggbeater kick and increased fitness levels are developed to meet a 200m timed swim. First aid focuses on unconscious victims and obstructed airway procedures.
