A Spin and Strength class is a high-energy, full-body workout that combines intense cardio cycling with strength training exercises. In the spin portion, participants ride stationary bikes through a series of sprints, hill climbs, and endurance drills set to motivating music. This boosts cardiovascular fitness, burns calories, and enhances endurance. The strength segment focuses on bodyweight exercises and free weights to target major muscle groups, building core stability, muscle tone, and overall strength.
Qigong by the Lake - Monday 6:45 PM (May 26 - Jun 23)
Practise Qigong outside, right on the shore of Okanagan Lake, weather permitting. (All abilities welcome! Chairs are available as all exercises can be done in standing or sitting position). Expect to practise gentle movements, deepen your breathing, limber up and get more flexible as well as relaxed, experience increased circulation, balance and energy and feel peace and calm as well as joy. Drawing is an acquired skill which is improved with a better understanding of proportion, perspective and anatomy. This course is structured to include : Objects from life, landscape and perspective, figures (lesson in human anatomy) and faces/people and is suitable for all levels of drawing experience. Required supply list: newsprint paper, 2B graphite pencil, willow charcoal, eraser, conte crayons (optional).
